The Wedding Guest
It’s safe to say that weddings will look a little different this year, in the aftermath of Coronavirus. But if you are one of the few invited to the happy couples nuptials it’s more important than ever to have your outfit planned to perfection. It can be a difficult task regardless of your role at the wedding or relationship with the happy couple - so choose wisely. Here’s our top tips on how to choose the right dress for your summer wedding…
Don’t wear white
Ah it’s always the first rule and everyone is aware of it, but still some dare to break the rules! They say wearing white is by far the biggest mistake that can be made by a wedding guest. There is a whole colour palette out there and on her special day, don’t add any confusion to the mix! We have a whole host of stunning dresses that will leave you catching everyone's eye for the right reasons.
This summer is the perfect opportunity to wear bright colours or pretty pastels, as we’ve all been donning joggers and t-shirts for the past few months! Experiment with colour and choose something that will compliment your skin tone to look extra elegant. Top tip: be sure to check in advance what colour the bridesmaids are wearing - a good indicator is usually the invitations!
Pay attention to dress code
Dress code matters more than ever. Whether it’s white tie, black tie, cocktail or casual - you want to get it right. If everyone else is wearing black and you are standing out in colour, you will probably spend more time stressing about standing out than you will be enjoying yourself - and that’s the last thing you want!
Dare to wear that jumpsuit
You may think that wedding guest attire warrants only dresses, but you are mistaken! The oh-so-elegant all-in-one piece is flattering and can be versatile for many an occasion - so you could wear it again but style it differently! Now in so many patterns and fabrics, alongside super stylish jumpsuits with extra detailing, we say go for it!
